Whirlwind

How do you start something you already want to end?

I'm caught in the thick of the action now. It's been pretty fast and furious, what with 6am morning shoots and never-ending $1 promotional ads. Each day I'm treading hard in this sea of mess.

Nevertheless, between that, I've managed to find time to ponder. Pinning my left brain against my right why I should endure and stay for a while.

A part of me wishes that all this will be over when I count to ten. Yet another part of me feels that I can create change, even if it means paddling against the currents.

Ouch, that niggling shoulder pain.

First up, customisable shoes that are as quirky as you want them to be.

And then we have New Balance offering 480 limited edition pairs of shoes, each with its own unique story.

"Our longings and our worries are both to some degree overblown, because we have within us the capacity to manufacture the very commodity we are constantly chasing when we choose experience."

This talk kind of helped settle some nagging chaos inside my head at the moment.

3Ts

Talent, tenacity, timing.

I'm having big problems with the last one.

Lingering On (The Pain And The Wait)

My shoulder still hurts. The session by the sinseh on Sat was pretty much a torture. He left the injury hurting more than before. Is that supposed to be good?

I'm considering this theory that causing more hurt to an injured area will prompt more repair cells to speed there. Kind of like a "it's too major for us to ignore" thing. Does that make sense? I think it does. That's how sinsehs work!

In other news, I've waited 1 month for Agency A's reply and hung on 1 month for an interview with Agency B. And Agency C has just called me up 1 month after I rejected their offer.

I'm still biding my time.

Perplexed

There are some things I want to get started on.

I have more time on my hands. But ironically, I'm not getting them done.

They Say The Night Is Darkest Before The Dawn

Sweating it out, and then lying down on the inclined sit-up plank, head on the lowered end. Gazing at the darkened sky and sparkling stars. Small branches and leaves block overhead but that's okay.

Marveling at how I've managed to push myself again and again for yet another better timing.

Another session, another boundary banished. How do I channel this perseverance into what I need to do now?

I've Learnt Again

Humans are inherently selfish.

Should we just blame it on survival instincts?

Can't we triumph over that sometimes and let the heart take charge?
