Of Meteor Showers And Watching The World Pass By

I saw meteor showers for the first time in my lyfe today.

I had just finished a nice sinful dinner of the famous 85 market bar chor mee and oyster with my friend, downed with some ice coffee.

Yum.

Then it started drizzling. Since we had finished, we just sat at the bus stop for a while.

We were talking, talking, talking when suddenly I thought I saw something.

Is that a meteor shower or what? Streaks of fire falling towards the ground.

"I thought I saw something weird too", said my friend.

On closer look, it was kids throwing those stick fireworks stuff down from the 5th floor of the block.

Interesting, the stuff kids do these days for amusement.

I remember when I was young, my sisters and I appreciated every stick we had, watching the fire til it went out.

How wasteful of kids these days. And how dangerous.

Anyone would not have been blamed had they thought it was another work of terrorists.

Well, you know how they associate everything these days with them.

We sat there and watched on. One stick, two sticks at a time, and at times, four and five sticks launches. Finally exercise cut.

Wow, we were that bo liao.

I miss such bo liao days where I can just sit down and watch the world go by. Time just flies by too fast.

And did I mention? I was staring at my own block.
