CNY Thoughts

Time flies, really. And once again I get to see most of my relatives during this time. And we really see each other once a year, or less.

There's this cousin (i shall call all of them cousins to minimise the confusion of their r/s to me since they are all sons/daughters of uncles and aunties) who now uses quite a bit of hokkein and vulgarities when talking. Poor dude got posted to become a RP dog-handler at PLAB.

I told the young man to be more disciplined and not learn all the crap from army lyfe. "Time flies, the next time I see you, it'll all be over". (I mean considering I see him once a year, by next CNY he would have ORDed!)

And there's this cousin who is suddenly in IT*E doing business after saying she was going for a poly tourism course last year. Gave me quite a shock when I heard her drastic change in plans. Wish her all the best the same.

And another cousin is actually in NTU doing business in her first year. I kinda forgot her name 1 minute after my auntie told me..opps. But I think this is the second time I've seen her since the wedding a month ago. Ok I shall keep a look-out if I see her around in cant B or something. But she kinda gives me quite a zhuai feeling..haha.

My other two cousins are getting married this year! Woo! Can say they are the cousins I see the most I guess. But we hardly talk. Our record longest CNY conversations were in 2002, 2003 and 2004 when we could talk about..the army. Hurhur. Just like how I'm having record conversations with my cousin in para 2 now that we can talk about the army.

I think another of my cousins is becoming rather tomboyish. I haven seen her in years and she's become like that. Oh man. And she's teaching in a girls' school now. Erm. I don't want to imagine things.

Another cousin is now in Sec 4. The last time he visited us was when he was in Pri 4. 6 years ago I was amazing him with my computer games and trying to act like a monster and entertaining him. 6 years later he's wow-ing me with magic tricks.

Wow. I love CNY visits. Always so interesting =)
