Got quite inspired especially by the NUS Everest climbers who came to talk to us.
As one of them, Stefen Chow, was sharing with us his experiences and all the pains the team had to go through, something he said struck me the most. When asked what was one of the main reasons what kept him going despite all the tough training he had to go through, he simply answered "I chose to do it..so I got to bear the responsibilities and all the discomfort".
WOW.
His reply was quick and sharp, no second thoughts and it did not even sound like any typical ten-year series answer I had expected.
(And his photographs of the expedition were FANTASTIC)
If everyone had his attitude, the world would be a finer place.
Yes it's the great philosophy about commitment to a cause / target / responsibility again.
On a side note, the food was fabulous too! All the way high-end buffet, with chocolate fondue to round off lunch this afternoon. Woo!
And I made new friends =D
I am not anti-social and dao.
