Lessons About Lyfe

And so I went down to the Istan*a today to watch my junior get his Presid*nt's Sco*ut Aw*rd. Second time at the Istan*a - the first time was nearly 3 years ago.

Ok that's not the main point. It's just a building. And the Presid*nt looked so jaded of shaking hands. When he shook mine, he wasn't even looking at me.

And now that's the main point.

No I'm not b*tching about him. Just a reminder that happiness is better than all worldly possessions and power.

After that we went for a celebration meal at Swensens with the mom, the bro, him and the cousin.

The cousin is rich. Very. Earned $10k a month when he was 30 and now he's in his late 30s so I guess he's probably taking home $15k per month? He's a banker. And drives a Cefiro, owns landed property, wears a Rol*x, nice cufflinks he had. (I always notice cufflinks)

He was married a few years back, but I guess things didn't work out for him. Status now: Single, very rich man, Company Director.

But the whole lunch, impression - pessimistic, jaded, sceptic, dark humour.

And my junior was talking about aiming to earn $10k a month at 30. Probably influenced by his cousin.

Young people these days. Something must have cropped up at the milk powder factory. But well, different people have different priorities.

And then my mentor was talking about the horrible politics going on at her office.

Lyfe is simple, just that we often make it complicated.
