Finally caught the much anticipated show on DVD yesterday over a sumptuous and sinful mix of apple pie, chicken wings and risotto. Will Smith and his little kid made full use of their chemistry to deliver an awesome performance.
Check out this line from the show:
"..I started thinking about Thomas Jefferson on the Declaration of Independence and the part about our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And I remember thinking how did he know to put the pursuit part in there? That maybe happiness is something that we can only pursue and maybe we can actually never have it. No matter what. How did he know that?"
Maybe if one day we stopped pursuing happiness we would have no goal, nothing to live for, nothing worth fighting for.
But maybe if we kept pursuing we'll just be like a dog chasing its own tail. Sometimes we do tend to get too distracted by our pursuit to notice that happiness is right before our eyes.
Another of lyfe's dilemma.
