The World Condensed Into A Nut

I shall try to contain portions of 4 years into 1 post (emo song plays in background).

It all begun on a particular afternoon, during one of the army bookout weekends, when I was filling out the university course application form. I was almost totally clueless about where to go. I just wanted a place where I would be free of science and maths. So the choice for CS came after reading the short paragraph description of the course (kudos to good copywriting). SCI was first choice, followed by I-can't-even-remember what other choices (which once again, supports my earlier point of being clueless).

And I landed in CS, first in FOC. Strangely, it just felt like the right place after that. Everything seemed to gel together, like how gel holds hair (hurhur). I had dreams of doing movie trailers and making box office hits (omg that was so yesterday). And so what followed was a year of boring modules and a crazy move to join the main comm (after much cajoling by Mr R. Chua and M. Goh). It was an insane year, struggling with a new environment, CCA (taekwondo!), hall life, main comm and later D&D (geh-kiang move). But I grew, like a bean sprout cultivated under the harshest conditions on a piece of cotton wool with little water.

Barely after the debut year of madness, 2nd year followed with heavier workloads and another geh-kiang move to run for Prez. Lyfe was about juggling balls everyday, big balls, small balls, whatever. D&D preparations continued and the big day was finally over mid-year. I believe that I did suffer from a bout of depression then, really. Then came inspiration from Batman Begins (yesh that's when the bat in my msn nick started flapping) and V and lyfe became brighter.

And 3rd year was another wave of..Kallang wave. But at least I got a clearer picture of what I wanted to do, especially after the internship at B*ates. I slogged my socks off and pushed hard; I wanted to know my limits. Panicking for good F*YP mates also started, and then Jole provided The Light, which was much needed after my disappointment with you-know-what. Benj*y was The Beautiful Mind, Jole was the Resourceful One/Idea Churner (now known as the humanities-oriented mind), and so I thought that we would complete the team with an Elite Dynamo - Zipzip, The Chosen One.

And so the story goes, into year 4, when we experienced the Research One, who would change our F*YP lyfes forever. The TOS, research, research, research, research and research (oh did I say that already?) followed, and we vowed to save the kiddos from being cyberbullied online harassed. Jole and I put our sweat and tears into the Cyber Safety Dance, but the rest never approved of it. We decided that A Paper would be most appropriate. And so amidst plenty of act-cute pencils, Concourse sessions, pen stealing, fried bee hoon, taxi rides, SM*U, kopi, benches, bad jokes, old tv drama song singing, elitism, models, multi-plug, 10100111000, TTFTF, Orange Tic Tacs, tapioca and karugi chicken, analism and analism analism and analism, The Paper was born. I am proud to say that we have the best team dynamics among all the rest, particularly because of my strong tennis connection with Benjy, my chemistry with Jole, and my my..oh shit..ok whatever with Zipzip (hahaha).

And then exams, and then we nua and hope that some company will land us million dollar jobs.

Thank you for taking your time to read this.
