Baked On A Sunday Morning

Headed down to the New Balance Real Run despite not having trained at all much for it.

The morning started off with a nice friendly sunrise (which wasn't quite reflective [pun not intended] of what was to come next)
Within minutes from starting off the race, the sun was simply merciless.

Like zebras romping across the Sahara fields..
As if one sandy trail wasn't enough, we went for another round on the beach..
My phone camera has special effects! Got part sky, part road. This is what you get when you take pictures on the move. This was the final runway portion. Last year it seemed like an endless road, but after tackling the sandy routes, it was actually something to look forward to.

I pity the poor marshallers (sitting on the road under the scorching sun) the most..
Despite almost being baked by the sun, it was still a good run. At least for this year, the run really lived up to its cross-terrain name :)
